Why Choose Grilled Avocado Chicken Wraps?

  1. Crispy Goodness: These wraps offer a delightful crunch, thanks to a quick sauté that adds a golden brown exterior to the tortillas.

  2. Flavor Explosion: Inside each wrap, you'll discover a medley of flavors, including tender chicken, zesty salsa, gooey mozzarella, and creamy avocado slices.

  3. Versatile Preparation: While the recipe suggests sautéing the chicken, feel free to use leftover chicken or shred a store-bought rotisserie chicken for a time-saving alternative.

Ingredients You'll Need:

  • 2 tablespoons olive or avocado oil
  • 1 pound chicken breastsboneless and skinless
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • 6 flour tortilla wraps8 inches
  • ½ cup salsa
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 avocados

Recipe Instructions:

1- Pour oil into a big skillet. Heat to a medium-high temperature. Season the tops of the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chilli powder. Once the oil is heated, place the seasoned chicken in the skillet. You should hear a sizzling. Sauté until each side is browning and the chicken is cooked through (juices should run clear), about 3 to 5 minutes each side, depending on the thickness of the chicken.

2- Remove from the fire and let the chicken cool. Then, cut each breast into strips.

3- Spread out the flour tortillas on a chopping board or baking sheet. Divide the salsa and spread down the middle of each tortilla. Divide the shredded mozzarella down the centre of each tortilla. Slice the avocado and place pieces in the centre of each tortilla. Top the avocado with cooked sliced chicken.

4- To wrap the tortillas, carefully fold the bottom up. Then fold the sides over the filling.

5- To grill the tortillas, there should be some oil left in the skillet. If not, add extra or use cooking spray on the exterior of the wraps to get them well toasted. Place the wraps seam side down in the same skillet you used to cook the chicken. Press down on them as they cook. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, rotating once, until the wrap turns golden brown and the cheese melts. Serve immediately with a serving of salsa or sour cream.

Can You Make These Wraps in Advance?
